I am so happy that you are interested in working with me.

Some common questions I am often asked, include:

 

How is working with a clinical sexologist different from working with a therapist?

 

It is important to understand that working with a clinical sexologist is not the same thing as therapy.  As a clinical sexologist, I work in a coaching modality that is present/future based and seek solutions to removing obstacles that prevent people from achieving their goals. A clinical sexologist does not provide mental health services. My expertise is focused on human sexuality, romantic love, and relationship satisfaction. I do not treat depression, anxiety, or other mental health illnesses. If you need a referral to a therapist, I am happy to provide this to you. 

 

I use a short-term, structured, and solution-focused approach designed to meet you exactly where you are today.

 

How do I pay?

 

  • Session are paid for prior to, or on, the scheduled day/time of your session

  • Payment is processed using Venmo

 

How do sessions take place?

 

  • Sessions take place according to your frequency/day/time needs; evening and weekend times are available

  • Session modalities include in-office or Zoom

  • Concierge sessions (I come to you!) are available to individuals and couples living in Orange and Los Angeles counties at an additional cost

  • Sessions can last between 60-90 minutes

 

Is our work together private and confidential?

 

  • Your privacy and confidentially are my utmost concern

  • I do not release information to other parties without your written permission, unless I am required to do so by law

 

Can you please explain email policies and procedures?

 

  • I take our electronic communications seriously

  • No one other than myself, is allowed to read my emails, or given access to my electronic sites

  • I generally respond to emails within 24-hours. If you do not receive a response within 48-hours, please assume I did not receive the first email and resend the email

  • Email content should be limited to communications about scheduling.I recommend sensitive issues are not addressed in email form, due to potential breaches of privacy and security.If e-sessions are chosen, I will send communications thru an encrypted email address which decreases, but does not eliminate,the risk for security breaches
